Section A (Reading)
1. Introduction – Prose & Poetry 2. Exercises 3. Suggested Reading – Assignments (The Class Work includes introduction and explanation of how to tackle a difficult passage and questions that follow. Prose passages and poetic lines are taken for analysis).
Section B (Writing)
1. Introduction 2. Exercises 3. Suggested Reading – Assignments (The Class Work includes exercises relating to creative activities like writing notices, building up conversation – situational and telephonic, interpreting advertisements, news items & feature and letter writing).
Section C (Grammar)
1. Introduction 2. Exercises 3. Suggested Reading – Assignments (The Class Work includes exercises relating to identification and correction of errors in sentences, with a detailed analysis of Parts of Speech and their usage rules. The Class Work also includes pictures and comic strip interpretation, note-taking and related letter writing).
Section D (Literature)
1. Introduction 2. Exercises 3. Suggested Reading – Assignments (The Class Work includes reading selected poetic lines and answering the questions that follow).
